Angela’s therapeutic approach
My approach to therapy is holistic, personalized, and co-creative, integrating somatic (body-based) and mindfulness-based practices to help you connect with your body’s wisdom and its capacity for healing. Together, we’ll explore the body-mind connection, uncovering how unresolved emotions, stress, anxiety, and trauma can be accessed and released through mindful bodily awareness.
I specialize in anxiety, relationship issues, and perinatal psychotherapy offering compassionate support for navigating the complexities of trauma recovery, emotional overwhelm, parenthood, relationships, and life transitions. I also incorporate nature-based approaches, recognizing the grounding and restorative power of the natural world as a resource in the therapeutic process.
Beyond healing, I believe in the potential for post-traumatic growth—the capacity to find strength, resilience, and meaning in the wake of life’s challenges. Therapy with me supports your inherent wholeness, helping you resource yourself in turbulent times, heal from trauma, and celebrate the transformations that come from moving through difficulty.
You may be invited to explore grounding practices, boundary setting, creative expression, communication skills, and nature-inspired strategies. These tools can help support your nervous system, reduce anxiety, build emotional resilience, and foster compassionate connection with yourself, others, and the world around you.
My own journey of embodiment and healing has deeply shaped my approach and expanded my capacity to hold compassionate, grounded space for others as they navigate their own. Healing, to me, is a journey of becoming our own best friend—learning to meet ourselves with the same patience, care, and curiosity we share with those we love. It’s an ongoing process of building trust with ourselves, listening to our inner voice, and embracing our wholeness.

Angela’s therapy path
I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have advanced training in Somatics, Perinatal Mood Disorders, Mindfulness and Meditation, Couples Therapy, Cycle-Informed Coaching, Yoga Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and Non-violent Communication.
With over a decade of diverse therapeutic experiences, I have supported individuals navigating grief, anxiety, burnout, heartbreak, depression, chronic pain, addiction, transitions, trauma, perinatal challenges, and relationship struggles. Before transitioning to private practice, I worked with individuals, couples, and families through bilingual in-home and community-based mental health services in Milwaukee. I am bilingual in Spanish and focused much of my early work on nature-based therapy, spiritual wellness, and trauma recovery.
Over the past five years, I have deepened my expertise in perinatal and hormonal health through specialized trainings and a cycle-informed coaching certification. My graduate capstone, “The Womb: Sacred and Somatic Ground for Healing,” explored the intersection of mental health, hormonal health, and womb well-being.
Born in Wisconsin, I am grateful to be back here with my family after years of living in places like Costa Rica, Colorado, and California. As a founding member and lead trainer of Breathe For Change, I traveled the country training hundreds of educators in Mindfulness, Yoga, and Social-Emotional Learning. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin—Madison and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado.

Beginning therapy can be intimidating. Here are next steps:
01
This is a free fifteen minutes to meet where we can see if it feels like a fit to work together. You can ask any and all of your questions. If we agree it’s a good fit, we’ll schedule your first session and send documents your way.
Schedule the consult.
02
You’ll be invited to log into the client portal (you’ll receive the link via email). Before our first session, you’ll review and sign the documents, including the practice and privacy (HIPAA) policies, informed consent, and intake form.
Review details + documents.
03
It’s happening—our first session is here. It’s totally normal to feel a little awkward or nervous, especially if it’s your first therapy experience. In this session, you’ll be invited to share about your personal history, current challenges, and goals.
Meet for our first session.

Good Faith Estimate (GFE)
Under federal law, health care providers are required to give patients who are uninsured or not using insurance an estimate of costs for medical items and services.
You are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate that outlines the total expected costs for any non-emergency items or services. This estimate should include related expenses such as medical tests, prescription medications, equipment, and hospital fees. Your health care provider must provide this estimate in writing at least one business day before your scheduled service or item.
You may also request a Good Faith Estimate from your health care provider—or any other provider of your choice—before scheduling a service or item. If the bill you receive exceeds your Good Faith Estimate by $400 or more, you have the right to dispute it. Be sure to keep a copy or photo of your Good Faith Estimate for reference.
For additional information about your rights or the Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 368-1019. You can also call me at (414) 207-6233.

Do you have a moment? A moment to pause:
Invite yourself into a more comfortable shape.
Can you feel your feet on the ground or your body being held by the earth or chair beneath you? Notice how it feels to give yourself to the ground, to feel supported.
Gently bring your awareness to your breath; notice its natural rhythm.
Next, allow your awareness to settle on what you can sense around you; the sounds nearby, something you see or smell, a felt sense like your clothes or the breeze.
As the mind wanders, gently guide yourself to the sensation of being here and held.
Invite a breath in and out. Let that breath remind you of your connection to this moment, to the ground, and to yourself.
Take your time to transition. Bringing your focus back to your space, may you carry this sense of grounding with you as you continue your day.
Throughout the first few sessions, we’ll continue to clarify your goals for therapy, along with how we’ll work together to help you take the next steps on your healing path. Which modalities resonate most? How frequently will we meet? etc.

I trust my timeline.
I give my grief and my gratitude to the ground, and keep growing.
I welcome my body’s wisdom. I believe in my body.
I nourish my now and welcome my well-being.
I choose love over fear.
I give myself grace.
I am enough — more than enough and not too much.
I am here. I am held. I am whole. I am home.

An affirmation is a positive statement that you repeat to reinforce a belief; they can support a shift from critical to constructive thoughts. They help us to hold space for healing and wholeness and rewrite our role within the stories we tell ourselves.
Affirmations can improve motivation and mental health, along with enhancing self-esteem and decreasing anxious thoughts. Research shows they can even support rewiring your brain (neuroplasticity) and shifting your perception of situations.
You can whisper them to yourself or shout them from the rooftops — either way works! You could also make it into a sticky note on your mirror or put it as a password.
Which positive affirmation will you practice?
